Our Work Schools for Humanity works tirelessly with its volunteer and sponsor networks to carry out its mission of opening access to quality education for all. Today, some reports suggest that more than one hundred million children around the globe are not enrolled in school. Of the nearly two billion other children enrolled in school, many are unable to attend, whether by choice or circumstance. Limited access to education and educational resources is a major problem. SFH works not only to open access to education but also to improve the quality and focus of the education being delivered. SFH recognizes the need for a revolution in education that addresses both the traditional issues surrounding schooling (supplies, teacher-student ratios, classroom equipment) and the content-oriented aspects of learning (practical life skills curricula, open access). We see the education revolution as one of the most important endeavors for our world today. By solving today’s current educational dilemmas, we can pave the path for a new era in humanity—an era where everyone uses life-skills and critical thinking education to better their own lives and the lives of others.
